Bank of America Merrill Lynch has cut its annualised profit forecast to $7.2bn
Credit Suisse analyst Tim Laskos has slashed its forecast for the US bank to a profit of $7bn from $8.3bn in 2016.
Credit Suisse analysts have cut their forecast for US banks to a quarterly profit of between $8bn and $9bn in 2018, down from $10bn to $12bn in the last quarter.
The bank has been struggling with low interest rates and the financial crisis, and has seen its earnings rise sharply.
The bank says its profits in 2016 rose from $5.9bn to more than $11bn, and in 2017 rose from just under $10 billion to $13.5bn.
The company has also been seeing its growth slowing due to a number of factors including the ongoing crisis in the US, and the slowing economy in China.
The US Federal Reserve has already taken several steps to reduce its interest rate, cutting the federal funds rate to 0.75% from 2% last month, and increasing the overnight rate from 1% to 2.5%.
