How to invest in the blockchain and cryptocurrency market
Investors in the crypto-currency space are taking advantage of a trend in the financial sector to expand their investments, including blockchain and digital assets, according to a new report.
Financial advisor Lyon Financial is taking advantage by using blockchain to track the performance of its client investments.
The platform, which launched last year, has since expanded to other clients.
“We’re seeing a lot of interest in the technology for investing in the cryptocurrency space,” Lyon’s CEO, Tom Linton, told The Wall Street Journal.
“It’s the same sort of interest that we saw in the stock market a few years ago.”
Linton told the publication the platform, known as Blockchain Capital, is “just the tip of the iceberg” when it comes to the market.
He told the newspaper that Lyon plans to invest $300 million in the space over the next two years.
The company has so far invested in $300m worth of cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum and Litecoin.
The firm’s investors include the likes of Peter Thiel, Bill Gates, and Bill McKibben.
Lyon says that its clients are “doing very well” in the platform’s token sale, and that its users are “a lot more confident in their investments than they were last year.”
The platform has also partnered with some of the world’s biggest blockchain companies, including Blockchain Capital.
The company is planning to use some of its token sales to help fund a research project that aims to provide better analytics for investors, Linton said.
Lyon has previously said that its platform is an “innovative way to bring more value” to investors.
In the past, the firm has been involved in bitcoin and digital asset startups.
